UF College of Pharmacy holds Pathways to Pharmacy Careers event for students

Exploring career opportunities in pharmacy was on the minds of UF College of Pharmacy Pharm.D. students who filled the lobby of the Hilton UF Conference Center hotel in Gainesville on Oct. 1. Pathways to Pharmacy Careers is an annual signature event that focuses on the careers of pharmacy students after they attain their Pharm. D. degree.

The Office of Student Affairs hosted the event, which featured speakers from the pharmacy profession sharing their career advice and experiences.

“The students get to hear about different pathways and career aspects within the field of pharmacy,” said James Beach, a student affairs coordinator for the Orlando campus and an organizer of the event. “It’s an event tailored to helping Pharm. D. students explore their future careers.”

Pathways to Pharmacy Careers is a mandatory event for first-, second-, and third-year students. Fourth-year students have the option to attend and potentially interview with employers.
