Strategic Plan 2021-2025
The UF College of Pharmacy’s 2021-25 Strategic Plan is a roadmap guiding us toward preeminence in education, pharmaceutical sciences research and patient care through four strategic priorities. Within each priority area, we have crafted and continue to explore a strategic framework of tactics, metrics and programs designed to propel us towards the achievement of our goals.
STRATEGIC PRIORITIES OF THE UF COLLEGE OF PHARMACY
Professional Education
Goal: Prepare Pharm.D. graduates to become leaders who improve the health and wellness of individuals and communities and advance pharmacy practice into the future.
Research and Graduate Education
Goal: Discovery new knowledge to improve the lives of other through high-impact research and provide outstanding research training in areas core to the college.
Clinical Practice
Goal: Create, evaluate and disseminate innovative and transformative pharmacy practice models that result in high-quality, cost-effective, patient-centered care that improves lives.
Lifelong Learning
Goal:Â Foster a culture that supports lifelong learning for faculty and staff and expands access for a global community seeking advanced knowledge and skills.

Inaugural Alumni & Friends Award winners announced
Carl Allison, ’76, was named the College of Pharmacy Impact Award winner, while Mitchel Rothholz, ’84, was selected for the Distinguished Service to Pharmacy Profession Award.
UF student pharmacists become patient advocates in underserved Florida communities
100% of UF pharmacy students have completed at least one rotation at a clinical site in a medically underserved area, recent research shows.
Dr. Charles J. Frazier named chair of the Department of Pharmacodynamics
Frazier will take the helm of a department comprising 17 faculty members spanning tenure-track, research, and instructional roles, who secured nearly $5 million in research funding in the past year.
Dr. Steve Smith appointed chair of the Department of Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy
Dr. Steve Smith takes over as chair after serving as interim chair for the past year.
