About James Beach
James Beach joined the University of Florida, College of Pharmacy at the Orlando campus in 2019, where he currently serves as the Program Director for Student Affairs. James holds a dual Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Liberal Arts from Winthrop University. His professional background encompasses various student affairs areas including admissions, new student programming, student conduct, and Title IX regulations. In addition, James has a certification in Higher Education Law and Policy from the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators. He came to UF from Queens University of Charlotte, where he served as Assistant Dean and Director of Student Services for the Presbyterian School of Nursing, and then as Assistant Dean and Director of Operations for the College of Arts and Sciences.
James’s areas of specialization are orientation and transitional programming, higher education law and policy, and student identity development. In his spare time, he enjoys spending quality moments with his husband and their pug, Mario. He is also an avid enthusiast of Walt Disney World and enjoys watching football. Go Gators!
