About Yanning Wang
Yanning Wang, M.S., is a Data Scientist and PhD student in the Department of Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy at the University of Florida College of Pharmacy. Her current research is centered on drug benefit-risk assessment and the evaluation of drug safety during pregnancy. She is also passionate about using data visualizations to enhance research communication and dissemination. She is the architect of the first publicly-available data-driven surveillance system to monitor Florida controlled substance and other drug-related outcomes. The system leverages the data visualizations to help stakeholders better understand the data’s significance, see the hidden patterns, and effectively respond to aberrant trends and clusters.
