About Matt Splett
Matt Splett is director of communications for the University of Florida College of Pharmacy. He leads efforts to enhance the college’s brand through traditional and digital media initiatives and serves as executive editor of GATORx magazine.
Splett possesses an extensive background in health care communications, with nearly 15 years of experience working in academic medicine and pharmacy. He previously served as director of communications and marketing for the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and University Specialty Clinics, the school’s clinical practice. Prior to joining the University of South Carolina, he worked as a media relations coordinator for University of Missouri Health Care and as a reporter/anchor at KFSM-TV in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Arkansas and a master’s degree in journalism/strategic communications from the University of Missouri.
