Global Gators Symposium 2026 Meeting: salzburg, austria

The Global Gators Scientific Symposium was established to exchange new scientific findings and approaches in clinical pharmacy and pharmacology and to maintain and build the network of clinicians and scientists developed at the University of Florida. This year’s Symposium is hosted in collaboration with the Paracelsus Medical University in Salzburg, Austria.

Salzburg, Austria is a picturesque city known for its stunning Baroque architecture, its connection to classical music legend Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and its role as the setting for the film The Sound of Music. Nestled in the Austrian Alps along the Salzach River, Salzburg’s historic center is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visitors can explore the iconic Hohensalzburg Fortress overlooking the city, wander through the beautiful Mirabell Palace and Gardens, and immerse themselves in the city’s rich musical heritage at Mozart’s Birthplace.

Co-Host: Paracelsus Medical University (PMU)

This year’s Global gator Symposium will be co-hosted with Paracelsus Medical University (PMU) and take place at PMU’s beautiful campus in Salzburg.

Olaf Rose will be hosting a pre-symposium in German language on Friday, June 5, 2026. If you are interested in attending you can register below. This is a separate registration from the Global Gators Symposium registration.

Event SCHEDULE

The scientific symposium will take place on Saturday, June 6th, 2026 as a full-day event that features sessions on advances in clinical pharmacy and pharmacotherapy, real-world evidence and model-informed drug development. The symposium is followed by a gala dinner on Saturday and a networking event on Sunday, June 7th. For those arriving on Friday, we are also hosting a casual welcome dinner at the Augustiner Braustübl.

2024 Global Gators Meeting

Bilbao, Spain

The 2024 Global Gators Symposium was held in Bilbao, Spain on June 7-8, 2024. Bilbao is a city in vogue. It has become a reference point as a destination for business, tourism and leisure. It is home to the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao and is connected to the rest of the world via a modern international airport. Bilbao also boasts enviable standards of cuisine and quality of life. It offers more than 4,000 rooms in modern three, four and five-star hotels, many of them located within walking distance of the Euskalduna Conference Centre.
