Forensic Science Online program ranked No. 1 in the nation by Bestcolleges.com

Bestcolleges.com has ranked the University of Florida College of Pharmacy’s Forensic Science Online Program as the No. 1 online crime scene master’s program in the nation. In the 2018 rankings that debuted in June, UF scored nearly five points higher than the second place program at George Washington University.

#1 Bestcolleges.comThe UF College of Pharmacy administers the nation’s largest online forensic science program with eight graduate and certificate specializations. The program caters to professionals working in crime labs, medical examiner offices, police departments and other organizations. Students earning a Master of Science in Pharmacy with a concentration in Forensic Science degree complete a 32-hour curriculum that develops competencies in forensic fields.

The Bestcollege.com ranking adds to a list of honors earned by UF’s Forensic Science Online Program since its inception in 2000. In 2006, the master’s program earned the Award of Excellence in Distance Education from the American Distance Education consortium. Program director, Ian Tebbett, Ph.D., received the 2010 Outstanding Leadership Award from the U.S. Distance Learning Association for his work advancing online education. Nearly 2,000 graduates have earned degrees from the program.

Bestcolleges.com first published its online ranking list in 2014. Eligible institutions are ranked on a 100 point scale using a methodology that features statistical data hosted by the National Center for Education Statistics.
