Chris Hall, Pharm.D., M.S., BCPS, A.C.E.

"I joined the Young Alumni Council to give back to the student organizations that played a key role in shaping my leadership skills and professional path. While in school, I was deeply involved in student groups that taught me collaboration, initiative, and resilience — skills I rely on every day in my career. Supporting these organizations now allows me to help future students gain the same transformative experiences I had."

What is the Young Alumni Council?

The Young Alumni Council, or YAC, assists in the fulfillment of the college’s mission and works to mentor current students to reach their full potential. YAC also supports UF College of Pharmacy student organizations and provides them with the means necessary to enhance and transform the college for the better.

By joining YAC, you will connect with the college’s top leaders, including faculty, members of the Dean’s Leadership Council, alumni, industry partners and the next generation of pharmacists, our students. You will get the opportunity to mentor students, serve as an ambassador of the college, speak at or attend special events and network with other pharmacy professionals.

There has never been a better way to give back to the UF College of Pharmacy!

How do I get involved?

YAC is open to any UF College of Pharmacy alum, with an emphasis on those graduating in the last 15 years (2011-2026). There are no term limits; however, individuals must reapply each year. The application cycle opens June 15, with terms extending from August to June.

What are the requirements?

  • Complete the application by July 15.
  • Accepted members must donate a minimum of $500 or $1000 (based on professional status) to the college during their year of membership. This donation can be paid in installments or as a lump sum.
  • All member donations will be pooled, and the council will vote on what the funding supports each year. Funding opportunities include scholarships, student organizations and other college initiatives.
  • Be an ambassador for the college. Help promote the college’s educational opportunities and research to your constituents.
  • Attend virtual council meetings and an annual in-person spring meeting at the Orlando campus.

Why should I join?

The Young Alumni Council is a great way to grow your leadership, communication and professional skills. You will have the chance to mentor current pharmacy students while also learning from more experienced professionals in the field — building connections that benefit both your career and the future of the college.
