Matthew Walters,

Matt Walters serves as the Director of Reporting and Research Administration for the University of Florida College of Pharmacy. He supports the efforts of a talented and dedicated team of research administrators as they assist faculty in sponsored funding proposal development, post-award funding and reporting management, and award compliance. He also serves as a liaison with finance and research leaders across UF and UF Health.

Walters previously served for almost two decades in the UF Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering, joining the Department of Materials Science & Engineering as the assistant to the department chair in 2004. He later served as a departmental fiscal processing manager before becoming a research administrator in the Department of Computer & Information Science & Engineering. Since 2017, Walters has served in associate and assistant director roles in three engineering departments, providing oversight to the departments’ budget, fiscal and research administration operations. Walters earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from UF in 2003, and he received a Certified Research Administrator credential from the National Research Administrators Certification Council in 2015.
