About Kathryn Smith
Dr. Kathryn Smith received her Doctor of Pharmacy Degree with Leadership Emphasis at the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy and completed a PGY1 Community and Ambulatory Care Residency with Cub Pharmacy in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Dr. Smith joined the University of Florida College of Pharmacy as a Clinical Assistant Professor in 2014 and maintains a practice site at the University of Florida Physicians Anticoagulation Clinic. Dr. Smith teaches concepts related to ambulatory care practice, Personal and Professional Development, and the Pharmacists’ Patient Care Process throughout the PharmD curriculum. She is the Leadership Professional Certificate Director and teaches leadership concepts in required and elective courses.
Dr. Smith has been a member of AACP since 2011 and currently serves on the AACP Leadership Development SIG Executive and Scholarship committees. In the past, she has served as the Chair of the Council of Faculties Junior Faculty Learning Community.
Dr. Smith’s research interests include personal and professional development, assessing professionalism and other professional attributes, and integrating the Pharmacists’ Patient Care Process into the PharmD curriculum.
