Ivy Ponder-Gay,

I am originally from Miami, FL. and moved with my husband (David) and two kids (Isiah & Iyanna) to Gainesville in 2007. I received my B.A. degree from Independence University and joined the University of Florida in 2014. I served as a senior clerk at the Institute for Child Health Policy with the College of Medicine and was promoted to a Program Assistant in 2016. In 2017, I was hired as an Administrative Specialist 1 in the Department of Chemistry with the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences. In 2022 I began working in the African American Studies Program, also with the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences as the Office Manager/Administrative Specialist I. I have recently transitioned into my new role, Office Operations and Communications Coordinator with the College of Pharmacy – Office of Experiential Programs.
