About Christina E DeRemer
Christina DeRemer received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of the Sciences, Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, in Philadelphia. After graduation, she completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency and an Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Specialty Residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Following a year at Harbor Hospital in Baltimore, DeRemer began her career as a clinical specialist in primary care at the Augusta University Medical Center in Augusta, Georgia (formerly Medical College of Georgia Health Inc.) Her clinical practice responsibilities included the adult inpatient internal medicine/hospitalist services and the pharmacist-managed ambulatory care anticoagulation clinic, where she precepted both pharmacy residents and students. She served as the pharmacy supervisor for the medicine team and also held an appointment as adjunct clinical associate professor with the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy. She functioned as the educational site coordinator for IPPE/APPE pharmacy students, and precepted clinical experiences for internal medicine, institutional, precepting, and ambulatory for both students and pharmacy residents. She was recognized twice by the UGA College of Pharmacy as the Preceptor of the Year. In September 2017, she joined the University of Florida College of Pharmacy as a clinical associate professor within the department of pharmacotherapy and translational research and holds a practice at UF Health Family Medicine Clinic in Old Town.
