About Lolade S Bakare

Lolade Bakare, Pharm.D., works as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Education and Practice. Dr. Bakare joined the faculty in October 2024 with a practice site in the trauma intensive care unit at UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida.

Dr. Bakare graduated from the University of Florida with her Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2020. She completed an initial Post-Graduate Pharmacy Practice Residency at Cleveland Clinic Martin Health in Stuart, Florida. The following year, Dr. Bakare completed a Post-Graduate Residency specializing in critical care at the University of Rochester Medical Center’s Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York. Prior to this faculty appointment, she was Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. She is a member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine and the American College of Clinical Pharmacy organizations.

Her professional interests include topics related to the care of critically ill patients including the ICU liberation bundle, renal function, vasopressors and shock management.
