Dr. Kathryn Smith received her Doctor of Pharmacy Degree with Leadership Emphasis from the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy and completed PGY-1 Community Pharmacy and Ambulatory Care Residency with Cub Pharmacy in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Dr. Smith joined the University of Florida College of Pharmacy as a Clinical Assistant Professor in 2014 and maintains a practice site at the UF/Shands Anticoagulation Clinic. Dr. Smith is the course coordinator for the second year Pharmacy Practice Skills Laboratory, teaches leadership and professionalism throughout the pharmacy curriculum and is currently developing the Leadership Certificate track for pharmacy students. Dr. Smith’s research interests include integrating the Pharmacists’ Patient Care Process into the pharmacy curriculum, designing learning experiences in the didactic curriculum to prepare pharmacy students for rotations and practice and assessing professionalism and leadership abilities of pharmacy students. Dr. Smith is a member of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP), American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP), and Phi Lambda Sigma Pharmacy Leadership Society (PLS). She serves on the AACP Council of Faculties Junior Faculty Learning Community and the AACP Leadership Development SIG’s Scholarship Committee.
