Trevon Mccary-Glenn, M.Ed., has been named director of advancement in the University of Florida College of Pharmacy, effective Sept. 3.
As the college’s lead fundraiser, Mccary-Glenn will be responsible for cultivating and strengthening relationships with alumni, donors and friends of the college while identifying opportunities to secure philanthropic support for our strategic priorities. He will also manage the team in the Office of Development and Alumni Affairs. His hire comes at an important time as UF prepares to launch the public phase of its comprehensive fundraising campaign next year.
Mccary-Glenn joins the UF College of Pharmacy after working in several fundraising roles within the university during the past six years. He most recently served as associate director of development for major gifts in the University Athletic Association, or UAA, where he raised nearly $4 million toward facilities, scholarships and Name, Image, and Likeness, or NIL, in the past two fiscal years. His experience in donor engagement and working with student athletes will translate well as he develops relationships within the UF College of Pharmacy that will benefit our faculty, students and programs.
Before joining the UAA, Mccary-Glenn worked for more than two years in the UF College of Education, where he helped the college meet its fundraising goal for the Go Greater capital campaign. He also helped secure a $1 million gift to endow a position at P.K. Yonge Developmental Research School.
Mccary-Glenn is a native of Jonesboro, Georgia, and earned a bachelor’s degree in sports management and a master’s degree in higher education administration from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro.
