The American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering, or AIMBE, has announced the induction of Mei He, Ph.D., an associate professor of pharmaceutics in the University of Florida College of Pharmacy, to its College of Fellows.

Election to the AIMBE College of Fellows is among the highest professional distinctions bestowed on medical and biomedical engineers, comprising the top two percent of engineers in these fields. College membership honors those who have made outstanding contributions to engineering and medicine research, practice or education, as well as those who have pioneered new technology, made major advancements in medical or biomedical engineering or developed innovative approaches to bioengineering education.
He was elected by her peers and members of the College of Fellows for her outstanding contributions to the advancement of extracellular vesicle- and exosome-based platforms for therapeutic delivery and biomarker discovery. A formal induction ceremony was held during the AIMBE Annual Event in Arlington, Virginia on April 13. He was inducted along with 175 colleagues who make up the AIMBE College of Fellows Class of 2026.
