Jodi Taylor, Pharm.D., BCCCP, FASHP, assistant dean for curricular affairs and a clinical associate professor of pharmacy education and practice in the University of Florida College of Pharmacy, has been elected chair of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, or ASHP, Section of Pharmacy Educators for the 2026-2027 term.

The ASHP is the largest association of pharmacy professionals in the United States, representing over 60,000 pharmacists, student pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in all patient care settings, including hospitals, ambulatory clinics and health-system community pharmacies. The ASHP Section of Pharmacy Educators was created to strengthen and enhance ASHP’s efforts to prepare the pharmacy workforce, as well as provide leadership and training opportunities for faculty members involved in training the next generation of pharmacists. Taylor calls her election an honor, a privilege and an important responsibility.

“I absolutely love being a pharmacist, and I adore what I do as an educator. To be entrusted with the responsibility of leading with so many critical issues surrounding health care and higher education is hard to wrap my mind around, but I’m so excited for what the future can be that I’m just ready to get to work,” Taylor said. “I will be surrounded by brilliant people, both in section leadership and in the membership. I am a big believer in the power of the collective. I really hope to listen well, learn quickly, keep an open mind, identify gaps and find the best ways to bridge them.”
