Stacey Curtis, Pharm.D., assistant dean for clinical education and a clinical associate professor of pharmacy education and practice in the University of Florida College of Pharmacy, has been selected to the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, or AACP, Academic Leadership Fellows Program for the 2025-26 term.

The program aims to support and contribute to the development of leaders in academic pharmacy and higher education through four in-person meetings coupled with resources like a virtual book and journal club, interactive discussions with alumni of the program and experiential activities. Curtis called her selection to the program a significant honor in her career and life.
“It represents a unique opportunity to connect with peer leaders from other institutions, continue to develop my leadership skills and apply these leadership concepts and theories within academic pharmacy and real-world challenges,” Curtis said. “I am excited to embark on this journey of growth, development and leadership. I am hopeful that the program will provide me with the skills, knowledge and networks necessary to make a meaningful impact within our College of Pharmacy.”
In her duties as assistant dean, Curtis heads the college’s Office of Experiential Programs, leading students toward their perfect fit for postgraduate training and placement. As the college’s inaugural director of well-being and resilience, Curtis is committed to serving faculty, staff and students alike with skills gained from her training in integrative mind-body medicine from Georgetown University.
“My guiding leadership principle is to be a servant leader, striving to create an environment where everyone on our team feels valued, heard and empowered to contribute their best work,” she said. “I am also a strong believer in the transformative power of positivity to create a culture of optimism and enthusiasm within our team.”
