The University of Florida College of Pharmacy’s 35th Annual Alumni BBQ turned the pharmacy courtyard into a canvas of orange and blue, as nearly 200 alumni and friends reconnected before the Florida Gators home football game versus the Arkansas Razorbacks on Nov. 4. Generations of Gator pharmacy graduates enjoyed a catered barbecue meal, music from a live DJ, time spent with old and new friends and a kid’s corner for the youngest fans. Guests donating to the Crisafi Challenge scholarship campaign also had the opportunity to spin a prize wheel and win UF College of Pharmacy merchandise.
Dean Peter Swaan addressed the crowd during the event providing an update on some of the exciting activities happening in the college, including a recap of the college’s centennial year in 2023. He also encouraged attendees to check out the new Malachowsky Hall for Data Science & Information Technology on their walk to the football stadium — the new home for data science faculty and trainees in the UF College of Pharmacy.
