Orlando student ambassadors give thanks to local pharmacists

A team of student ambassadors from the University of Florida College of Pharmacy’s Orlando campus spread out across Central Florida delivering thank you cards to local pharmacists during American Pharmacists Month in October. The handwritten notes offered thanks and appreciation for the hardworking pharmacy teams who keep their communities healthy throughout the year.

Orlando Thank You CardsThe “Rx Gator Thank You Letters” campaign featured stops at 63 different pharmacies, including 22 that employed a UF College of Pharmacy alum. One of the local pharmacies, Pharmacy on the Park in Oviedo, even featured the thank you card on its Instagram account.

“The feedback we received from the student ambassadors and the local pharmacy teams was phenomenal,” said Dalyn Valentin-Shawver, a third-year pharmacy student in Orlando. “It was a truly rewarding experience to visit the local pharmacies and see the gratitude on their faces when they received our cards.”

Each of the 32 student ambassadors in Orlando wrote two thank-you cards. The group plans to make the “Rx Gator Thank You Letters” campaign an annual tradition.
