Chris Hall selected as one of 12 ASHP Student Leadership Award winners

Chris Hall, a fourth-year pharmacy student at the University of Florida College of Pharmacy, was one of 12 recipients of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacy, or ASHP, Student Leadership Award. The national award recognizes student pharmacists who have demonstrated leadership and represent the very best attributes and accomplishments of ASHP student members.

Chris HallAs a UF student pharmacist, Hall has demonstrated his leadership potential through internships with UF Health in Gainesville and Jacksonville as well as service in 10 different student organizations. His leadership roles included positions with the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, the Florida Society of Health-System Pharmacists, the Student Society of Health-System Pharmacists, the National Community Oncology Dispensing Association, the Hematology Oncology Pharmacy Association and the American Pharmacists Association Academy of Student Pharmacists. He also served the Phi Delta Chi and Phi Lambda Sigma pharmacy fraternities as well as Student Council and the Student Ambassador program within the UF College of Pharmacy.

“My favorite part of leadership is the relationship building and teamwork that fosters growth and culminates in awesome leaders,” Hall said. “I am honored to be the recipient of an ASHP Student Leadership Award and share this recognition with all the amazing leaders who have contributed to my personal development and success.”

After graduation, Hall will be moving to Kansas City to begin a combined PGY1/PGY2 health-system pharmacy administration and leadership residency with the University of Kansas Health System.
