Three UF College of Pharmacy faculty and staff win UF Superior Accomplishment Awards

The University of Florida Superior Accomplishment Awards program recognizes faculty and staff who have contributed outstanding and meritorious service, or who have improved the quality of life provided to students and employees. 

Buring-Stanley-Williams

Shauna Buring, Pharm.D., Alexis Stanley and Anedria Williams were selected as 2021-2022 UF Superior Accomplishment Award winners from the UF College of Pharmacy and will be considered for university-level awards. 

Dr. Buring serves as the associate dean for professional education in the UF College of Pharmacy. She was nominated for her vital role in the COVID-19 vaccination efforts on the UF campus. Buring and her team ensured clinical safety and proper preparation of the vaccine dosages, recruited student volunteers and trained non-medical workers to support the vaccination efforts. For these momentous efforts, she is regarded as a hero among her peers. 

Stanley, a human resources generalist II, provides excellent service to the human resources team. She manages remote work agreements, conducts leave audits, assists with faculty affairs and more. The details and importance of these assignments are critical to the careers at the college and Stanley’s attention to detail has not gone unnoticed.  

Williams, an academic performance specialist, has impressed her colleagues with her outstanding service to the students and the Office of Student Affairs. Williams goes above and beyond to ensure student success offering an invaluable service to the student affairs team. “Her commitment to student-centered support is evident in everything she does. She is truly deserving of recognition for the work she is doing,” one nominator wrote. 

Buring, Stanley and Williams will be recognized at the Superior Accomplishment Award Ceremony on April 4th at the Hilton UF Conference Center.
