Yimei Huang

Yimei Huang is a 4th year Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Pharmacotherapy and Translational Research under the mentorship of Dr. Julio Duarte. Her doctoral research leverages the power of large-scale health records, genomics, and proteomics data to improve the precision understanding of the prognosis of heart failure.

Yimei received her B.S. in Pharmacy from China, then sponsored by a government full scholarship to earn her Pharm.D. degree from University of Nebraska Medical Center. She then returned to China and worked as a clinical pharmacist for a few years at West China Hospital, Sichuan University which sparked her interest in clinical research of precision medicine. To advance the dimension of her life and career, she made the decision to revisit the U.S. for Ph.D. study.

While pursuing her Ph.D. degree, she maintains her enthusiasm and practice as a licensed pharmacist, and strives to become a clinician-scientist as her career.
