Alan de Araujo, PhD

Dr. de Araujo is a Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Pharmacodynamics at the University of Florida College of Pharmacy. He got his PhD in cell biology in 2018 (UFMG –Brazil) and joined Dr. de Lartigue lab to study autonomic control of feeding.

Dr. de Araujo is interested in determining how the vagus nerve sense meal-related signals to achieve a greater understanding of how these factors regulate meal termination in healthy and disease states. Dr. de Araujo loves collaborative projects, and his research expertise is in the fields of Gastrointestinal and Liver Physiology.
