The largest professional pharmaceutical fraternity in the world, Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity, Inc., ranked the UF College of Pharmacy’s Orlando campus as the No. 3 chapter for 2019–2020.
This is the eighth consecutive year that the Orlando chapter, Epsilon Mu, has ranked in the top 10, since its chartering in 2010. “Epsilon Mu is extremely grateful to be ranked third among all the Kappa Psi Chapters,” said Epsilon Mu regent Reginald Leandre, a third-year Pharm.D. student. “This achievement was possible due to the commitment to our four pillars of industry, sobriety, fellowship and high ideals.”
Leandre credits his chapter’s ranking to the vision of immediate past regent Brianna Hachey. “She always made it a point that the results of your work will be accurately reflected when you work with intention and passion,” he said.
Throughout the 2019–2020 academic year, Epsilon Mu members raised funds at an Orlando Magic game for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and organized a campaign alongside their local APhA-ASP chapter to bring awareness to mental health stigmas, among many other activities.
The International Executive Committee chooses top chapters based on participation in national and regional Kappa Psi events, member academics, member leadership and community outreach. The organization’s International Executive Committee generates its rankings from a list of more than 114 collegiate chapters.
