Dr. Juan Hincapie-Castillo receives the 2020 Emerging Leader Award from the International Society for Pharmacoepidemiology

Juan Hincapie-Castillo, Pharm.D., Ph.D., an assistant professor of pharmaceutical outcomes and policy in the University of Florida College of Pharmacy, has received the 2020 Emerging Leader Award from the International Society for Pharmacoepidemiology, or ISPE.

The Emerging Leader Award recognizes ISPE members that have shown early in their careers the potential for leadership and have already made significant contributions to the society. This recognition is granted by the Fellowship & Awards Committee after review of several nominations from across the world.

Hincapie-Castillo currently serves as chair for the ISPE Latin American Regional Interest Group and is a member of the ISPE Social Media Subcommittee and the Education Committee. He previously served as co-chair of the 2020 ISPE Mid-Year meeting, the 2016-17 ISPE Student Council Chair and was a member of the planning committee for the 2017 ISPE Mid-Year meeting and the 2017 International Conference on Pharmacoepidemiology & Therapeutic Risk Management.
