UF named as the Best Online Master’s in Forensic Science Program by OnlineMasters.com
The University of Florida has topped OnlineMasters.com 2019 rankings of the Best Online Master’s in Forensic Science Programs. OnlineMasters.com conducted more than 40 hours of research and analyzed every Master in Forensic Science program in the country before ranking UF as No. 1. Among the criteria considered were academic quality, student success and affordability.
The UF College of Pharmacy administers the nation’s largest online forensic science program with eight graduate and certificate specializations. The program caters to professionals working in crime labs, medical examiner offices, police departments and other organizations. Students earning a Master of Science in Pharmacy with a concentration in Forensic Science degree complete a 32-hour curriculum that develops competencies in forensic fields.
OnlineMasters.com’s ranking adds to a long list of honors earned by UF’s Forensic Science Online Program, since its inception in 2000. In 2006, the master’s program earned the Award of Excellence in Distance Education from the American Distance Education consortium. Program director Ian Tebbett, Ph.D., received the 2010 Outstanding Leadership Award from the U.S. Distance Learning Association for his work advancing online education. In 2018, BestColleges.com ranked UF as the nation’s No. 1 Crime Scene Master’s Program. Nearly 2,000 graduates have earned degrees from the program.
