University of Florida nominated for Salesforce Summit Award

The University of Florida has been named a finalist for the Salesforce Summit Award of Overall Excellence in Operational Efficiency.

UF is one of four higher education institutions recognized for its efforts to improve efficiency using Salesforce, a customer relationship management software product. Staff in the UF College of Pharmacy’s Entrepreneurial Programs built a student-facing web portal with Salesforce that allows students to enroll in courses more efficiently, while at the same time allowing administrators to predict enrollment numbers and react accordingly. The portal has reduced staff processing time from 600 hours to 300 hours annually, and reduced students’ time registering each semester from two minutes to 30 seconds.

An online voting competition will decide which school will receive the Salesforce Summit Award. The winner will be announced at the Salesforce Higher Education Summit on April 28.
