Five pharmacy students represent UF at IPSF World Congress in Zimbabwe

IPSF  World Congress Zimbabwe StudentsFive students from the University of Florida College of Pharmacy’s Gainesville campus traveled to Zimbabwe in August to represent UF at the 62nd Annual International Pharmaceutical Students’ Federation, or IPSF, World Congress. Amanda Haddad (2PD), Marry Vuong (3PD), Justin Muklewicz (3PD) and Cheska Rances (3PD) were all delegates of the American Pharmacists Association Academy of Student Pharmacists, or APhA-ASP. They attended professional development workshops, participated in a public health campaign at a Zimbabwe orphanage and competed in events such as the beginner compounding competition and beginner patient counseling competition. Carla Figura (3PD), is currently serving as the APhA-ASP National Contact Person for IPSF and was an official delegate at the conference. She participated and voted during the General Assembly, the highest ruling body of IPSF.
