UF receives $1.25 million to advance clinical research and personalized medicine

A team researchers in the University of Florida Clinical and Translational Science Institute received a combined $1.25 million award from the National Institutes of Health toward a goal of translating research into improved health for patients. Among them, Julie A. Johnson, Pharm.D., the V. Ravi Chandran Professor in Pharmaceutical Sciences is leading an effort to develop a system using genetic information to create alerts in a patient’s electronic medical record.
