Matt Splett is director of communications for the University of Florida College of Pharmacy. He leads efforts to enhance the college’s brand image through traditional and new media initiatives and serves as executive editor of GATORx magazine and The Monthly Memo.
Splett possesses a strong background in health care communications with nearly a decade of experience working in academic medicine. He previously served as director of communications and marketing for the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and University Specialty Clinics, the school’s clinical practice. Prior to joining the University of South Carolina, he worked as a media relations coordinator for University of Missouri Health Care and as a reporter/anchor at KFSM-TV in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Arkansas and a master’s degree in journalism/strategic communications from the University of Missouri.
