Thymidylate Synthase Inhibitors as Anticancer Agents

Thymidylate Synthase (TS) is a key enzyme involved in DNA biosynthesis. High levels of TS have correlated with poor patient outcomes in many different types of cancer, such as lung and colon carcinomas. Our group is part of a larger interdisciplinary team of investigators at the University of Florida that is working to discover and develop Thymidylate Synthase small molecule inhibiting agents for anticancer treatments.

This exciting work is funded by the National Institutes of Health.
