In 2001 the Florida Board of Pharmacy (FBOP) changed the rules regarding internship. However, most of the other state BOPs require internship hours prior to licensure and will only accept hours that have been reported directly to them or have been forwarded to them from another BOP. This means that if a student would like to eventually be licensed in another state, they would need to complete internship hours and have them reported to the FBOP so that the FBOP could send it to the other state at the appropriate time.
