Ways to Give

1. Annual Gifts

Donate online. Choose a fund below to directly impact excellence in teaching and quality of student education.

  • Academy for Excellence Fund– The Academy for Excellence Fund provides the resources which allow the college to initiate new processes and programs while strengthening the educational and outreach efforts.
  • White Coat Professionalism Fund– This initiative offsets the costs associated with our White Coat Ceremony and provides white coats to rising second-year students. In addition, funds raised will allow us to support our students with opportunities for professionalism, such as travel, registration fees, workshops and seminars dedicated to professional development.
  • Nicholas Bodor Distinguished Lectureship in Pharmaceutical Sciences– This fund, in honor of Dr. Nicholas Bodor, supports the costs associated with bringing highly trained scientists to the University of Florida, College of Pharmacy to present to faculty and students.
  • Graduate Student Education and Research Fund– The Graduate Student Education and Research Fund provides resources for the college to offer competitive packages and attract the best and brightest across the nation. The fund also supports our nationally renowned graduate program and provides opportunities for faculty to continue cutting-edge research.
  • Paul Doering Excellence in Teaching Professorship– In honor of Paul’s years of service to the college and dedication to generations of pharmacy students, the college has established the “Paul Doering Excellence in Teaching Professorship” to recognize a faculty member whose dedication to student learning is exemplary.
  • Oscar Araujo Scholarship Fund– The Oscar Araujo Alumni Scholarship was created in 2005 in honor of Dr. Oscar Araujo to commemorate his lasting contributions. The fund is endowed and as the fund grows, it will provide additional scholarship to deserving pharmacy students.

2. Planned Gifts

Please contact us if you are interested in establishing one of these gift vehicles.

  • Charitable Gift Annuity: This is a contract between you and the University of Florida Foundation. This contract allows you to make a gift to the College of Pharmacy, while providing a guaranteed income stream to you for life.
  • Charitable Lead Trust: A charitable lead trust is a trust that you establish during life or at death that pays its income to the College of Pharmacy, typically for a set number of years.
  • Charitable Remainder Trust: A charitable remainder trust is a gift arrangement defined by federal tax law that allows you to provide income to yourself or others for life or a term of years while making a generous gift to the College of Pharmacy.

Donor Recognition for Giving

  • UF College of Pharmacy Dean’s Circle – The Dean’s Circle recognizes alumni and friends who support the college with an annual gift of $500 or more. This fund provides the college the flexibility to provide leadership opportunities for students and faculty and to develop new educational initiatives.
  • University of Florida President Council – Membership in the President’s Council, the University of Florida’s leadership giving society, is based on cumulative giving of $100,000 or more from generous alumni, friends and organizations.
