UF College of Pharmacy St. Petersburg campus takes home several honors at FSHP Annual Meeting
For the first time, a University of Florida College of Pharmacy student will serve on the Florida Society of Health-System Pharmacists, or FSHP, Board of Directors. Rachel Huhn, a fourth-year student from the St. Petersburg campus, will be the single student representative on the FSHP board in 2016-17. She was selected to the position during the FSHP Annual Meeting in August and will be installed at the next Board of Directors meeting. Huhn became involved with FSHP because of her passion for health-system pharmacy. She served as the FSHP St. Petersburg student chapter president in 2015, and as a former member of the Membership Affairs Council, she worked to promote awareness of the many benefits offered by FSHP.
St. Petersburg chapter named FSHP Student Society of the Year
For the second year in a row, a student chapter from the University of Florida College of Pharmacy has taken home top honors as the Florida Society of Health-System Pharmacists, or FSHP, Student Society of the Year. UF’s St. Petersburg student chapter was named the 2016 award winner during FSHP’s Annual Meeting in Orlando. Allyssa Webb, a third-year Pharm.D. student and president of the St. Petersburg chapter, accepted the award. The chapter aims to promote and engage students in hospital and health-system pharmacy careers and is an officially recognized student society of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists. In 2015, the UF College of Pharmacy Gainesville chapter was named FSHP Student Society of the Year.
