Stacy VoilsStacy Voils, Pharm.D., M.S., BCPS, a clinical assistant professor of pharmacotherapy and translational research, joined pharmacists from around the nation in advocating for pharmacist provider status during the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, or ASHP, Legislative Day on Sept. 16. Voils met with Florida’s congressional representatives and staff in Washington D.C. to advocate for the Pharmacy and Medically Underserved Areas Enhancement Act, federal legislation that would recognize pharmacists as health care providers under Medicare in specific circumstances.
