Reginald Frye Joins First CTSI Master Certification Program

Reginald Frye, Pharm.D., Ph.D., a professor and chair of pharmacotherapy and translational research is among 14 University of Florida researchers chosen by the UF Clinical and Translational Science Institute Academy of Research Excellence to participate in its inaugural program. The six-month Master Certification for Excellence in Human Subject Research and Protections program is a multidisciplinary effort which includes participants from the colleges of Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry and Nursing, and the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences.

The investigators in the Spring 2012 Cohort will participate in lectures and seminars, including informed consent training using simulated research subjects. The program will conclude by hosting a awards dinner with a nationally recognized speaker.

Upon successful completion the Master Certification program, investigators will become members of the CTSI Academy of Research Excellence for a three-year renewable term. The UF administration and the CTSI are committed to making the academy a prominent, prestigious and transformational program.
